Earth recolonisation efforts have been underway, but recent reports from the Cascadian region have suggested possible seismic activity of worrying degrees.

As such, the UPNS Resurrection has been sent to erect a probe at the bottom of an anomalous trench atop a plateau in the Cascadian Subduction Zone, known as "Hell's Depths".

Little is known about "Hell's Depths", apart from that observations have deemed radiation to be a low-level threat, and that possibly, it could harbour marine life.

Satellite imagery has proposed that the trench is at least 1000m deep, and we intend to explore every last metre.
